Apple is teaming with SAP to create an optimal user experience for enterprise customers. I was invited to attend Apple's Design Thinking workshop and was given the task to design an application for Sales Representatives selling watches. My partner and I went through the steps of creating the information architecture, Golden Thread, wireframes, and finally a high fidelity prototype.
Design Thinking is a way we approach product development for our customers. It allows us to focus on the users and create an application that they will find useful and easy to use. The most valuable part of this process is observing our users directly. We see what they go through in their day-to-day life and what pain points they have. We hold workshops to go through the process and interact with our users to create wireframes for their product. By the end of the week, we have clickable prototype that they can use to test with a wider audience. From there, it is pushed to development and released to the users!
